Transit of Mercury

Great News. We will have limited viewing available for the public at Twin Creeks Park in Central Point.

Weather permitting - just after sunrise - November 11th.

You can find us next to the soccer fields on the corner of Rustler Peak St. and Twin Creeks Crossing St Viewing the small dot of Mercury as it passes across the face of the sun should be a slow but amazing treat. Mercury will only be about 1/194th the size of the sun. After sunrise it will be about 1/2 way across and will take a few hours to complete the transit.

The transit will begin before sunrise for us on the west coast. Be sure to use safe solar viewing.
